What happened
The Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) conducted proactive compliance audits across Brisbane's north and south. The audits involved almost 200 licence checks carried out across 84 sites.
Findings
The audits produced the following results:
- Two workers were identified as suspected of performing unlicensed building work. Both cases are now under further investigation.
- An additional 19 sites had non-compliant signage. Responsible licensees at those sites received warnings and education about their legal requirements.
