2025-26 audit program results
In 2025-26, the QBCC conducted 46 audits across Queensland. These were split into two types:
- On-site technical inspections: 24 audits
- Administrative function reviews: 22 audits
Complaints handled in 2025-26
The program received 123 new complaints about certifiers during the year and finalised 125 complaints.
Enforcement outcomes in 2025-26
Enforcement action taken during the year was as follows:
- 40 reprimands were issued
- 3 directions were issued
- Zero licence conditions were imposed
2026-27 program focus
The QBCC states it will continue proactive audits in 2026-27. The stated focus areas for 2026-27 are:
- The top 10 building defects
- Industry education
- Engagement with local governments and industry bodies
